Welcome to Fish. My entry to the 309th Trijam.

You are fishing. Press number pad 5 to fish.

To fish again press 5.

Sometimes... there are bombs, defuse them by guessing the code.

! IMPORTANT! When defusing bombs, each number has a hint below it.

• SOLID under the number = Correct number + Correct position
• BOXES under the number = Correct number, Wrong Position

The longer you fish, the more complicated the bombs get it seems..

To keep your score and quit before you lose... press number pad 0 (or "/") before casting.

All the assets and everything was done by me except the sfx (credit below)

This was made in Godot and the pixel art was done using Aseprite. 

I learned a lot in this jam which is wonderful I almost finished on time but was a little bit short because I chased a few too many unnecessary bugs and also did not plan to have to draw my numbers in pixel art. I learned how to set Godot so extremely small games render pixel perfect. I learned I can access any character of a string in gdscript simply with[0] syntax similar to an array. I found a few improvements to my existing workflows and processes also. Thank you for playing my game. Thank you for supporting/hosting/participating/playing games from this jam.

The screen size is 84 x 48 pixels. This is because this game was practice for the upcoming nokia jam 7 https://itch.io/jam/nokiajam7 which is also why the number pad was the primary input choice.
